Colleagues and clients continued to urge me to do a blog. I resisted, and then I began to investigate what would be involved. They were right; doing this is fun.

You may ask what makes me an expert about stress. Starting out as one of the tensest men in the country due in part from growing up dyslexic taught me a lot. Thirty years of studying stress’ effect on us and performing ten of thousands of sessions on clients is my base of clinical knowledge. As a Rolfer and a coach I have seen the extensive effect all the little stressors of life has on our health and happiness.

People often seek me out because other approaches have not given them what they need. Assisting clients in removing old stress from their bodies then teaching them how not to recreate it is a challenge I enjoy.

Back in the mid ‘90s, my partner and I operated the Scottsdale Institute for Health and Medicine, a premiere provider of Mindfulness Stress Reduction. The business was not a huge money maker, but it was a huge success in changing people’s lives around stress. Teaching these courses gave me a forum to apply what I previously only done on one to one bases. We really saw how with a little knowledge and support could significantly change a person’s relationship to stress.

The intent of this blog is to share that knowledge and offer support so others can succeed at removing stress from their bodies and lives. I also hope to teach my dyslexic brain some spelling and grammar along the way.
