As you so rightly say, Computers can increase or decrease our production and our stress".

At pzizz.com, we actually use computer-based software to generate soundtracks that are designed to help the listener to relax, de-stress and re-energize during the day - and get a great night's sleep at night!

As someone who often spends up to 18 hours in front of my computer, I'm all too aware of the negative impacts of using them... pzizz to the rescue! :-)

There's an interesting movement in neuro-cognitive science that deals a lot with what's called augmented cognition here's a link to the website where I first learned about it. The site is a little iffy, but the video is interesting. http://www.augmentedcognition.com/

The point is that routing sensory input through two or three senses rather than purely vision, can exponential increase efficiency.

I agree, reminder can be distractions and stress in themselves. The best reminder is our own bodies - their response to stress.

That is an interesting take on reminders. Of course visual reminders are a distraction, they usually consist of some pop up or email you have to deal with or delete, so it would take you out of what you are doing, while an audio can be unheard because you are so focused on what you are doing.
